In 2022, I was responsible for redesigning the official maps for the RideLondon cycling events. This project involved creating clear, informative, and user-friendly maps for riders of all abilities, encompassing the new routes that included Essex.

RideLondon

CONCEPT

This project focused on redesigning the official maps for the 2022 RideLondon cycling events. The goal was to create clear, informative, and user-friendly maps that catered to riders of all abilities, especially considering the new routes incorporating Essex.

Easy to Follow, Easy to Understand

Created a suite of three detailed cycling maps tailored to different ride lengths: 100, 60, and 30 miles. These user-friendly maps provide riders with clear navigation for their chosen distance.
Developed an additional map leveraging the "freecycle" concept. This map highlights routes perfect for casual riders and families with young children, offering scenic paths.

EVENT

Ride London

CONCEPT

Following my maternity leave, I spearheaded the transformation of the existing 100-mile Ride London map into an engaging 3D experience built using Spline. This interactive map caters specifically to schools, fostering a fun and informative learning experience.

To enrich the user experience, I integrated informative pop-ups strategically positioned along the route. These pop-ups provide valuable insights, enhancing engagement and knowledge acquisition.

I implemented an interactive rider that allows users to navigate the 3D map, simulating the cycling experience and promoting a sense of agency for young learners.

To showcase this immersive project, I designed and developed a dedicated landing page using Webflow. This landing page serves as a central hub for accessing the 3D map and provides additional project information for schools.
